Graphic Novel Pitch - Black Inc

Was asked to draw a pitch for a comic written by Chris Robinson about Orrin C Evans, an African American journalist who founded All Negro Comics in 1947. Although they were only able to publish a single issue, it was a hugely important, albeit mostly forgotten, part of comics history.

One of the few times I’ve worked to simplify my line art, backgrounds, and one color.

Resident Evil

I’ve been playing a bunch of Resident Evil games so I did a quick illustration of Leon from Resident Evil 4.

Short Comics.

Here are wo pages from two different shorts I finished recently. One is crime related and the other one is horror. Nice getting to work on different genres than what I've been able to in the past.

Data and Geordi Body Swap

Finally finished this lost episode of Star Trek The Next Generation idea I had. Data and Geordi experience a weird body swap because they messed with alien technology.

Spock and McCoy

Haven’t drawn anything Star Trek related in a while.

Goku

I’ve been watching Dragon Ball Z for the first time since since it was on Toonami.

Doorman Returns

A few weeks ago I started thinking about The Doorman, a mini series I drew back in 2015-16. It was my first real comics gig. I think the book still holds up pretty well, even if I’ve grown a lot as an artist. Maybe someday I’ll be able to revisit it. But until then, here’s a new illustration.

Patreon + Young Alfred Colors

I’ve started a Patreon over at Patreon.com. If you’re looking for a way to support me and get access to stuff I don’t post elsewhere (at least not right away). There’s a new post over there showing off some pages from the Young Alfred: Pain In the Butler graphic novel I colored, drawn by Sam Lotfi. Go check it out: Patreon.com/kendallgoode

TERMINATOR 20XX

A cover for a potential ashcan/zine of the short Terminator fan comic I did during 2020 and then finally finished in 2022.

Character Design

Forever trying to wade through the half a dozen comic and graphic novel pitch ideas that are stuck in my brain. This design came from one idea and has shifted to an entirely different one. We’ll see if I can focus enough to figure this one out.

Dungeons and Dragons

More coloring content, I colored the second half of Dungeons and Dragons Saturday Morning Adventures #4. Written by David Booker and drawn by George Kambadias.

Publisher Weekly

Occasionally I color other people’s drawings. This is the cover for a graphic novel I worked on, drawn by Sam Lotfi, all about Alfred Pennyworth’s teenage exploits. Also pretty neat that they put used the cover for Publisher’s Weekly. Order a copy here.

Getting The Whole Gang Back Together

Had the chance to see Blink 182 live in May. It was a different experience than I’m used to with concerts, but very fun. Here’s a silly drawing while I wait for new music.

Somehow Shinzon Returned

Star Trek Nemesis is not good but I always do want more of most Star Trek things and think that a character like Shinzon would be fun to see again.

Live Long and Riker

80s Spock looking very serious with a phaser, and a Will Riker portrait to go with the Deana Troi that I previously did.

I like when the Borg look a little more like sentient stereo equipment.

Body Swap

Had an idea for a lost episode of Star Trek The Next Generation where Data and Geordi get body swapped.

Strange New Worlds - Again

Started out wanting to draw Erica Ortegas from Star Trek Strange New Worlds. But as usually is the case, I can’t just leave a background empty and have to make it a while ‘thing’. You can tell from the initial sketch that originally Ortegas had a more ‘good time’ expression.
